Compounds and noncompounds

('dus byas dang 'dus ma byas). Two categories of phenomena according to the Abhidharma system. 1) Compounds are products dependent upon causes and conditions and arise, remain and cease. 2) Noncompounds, like space or suchness, are unconditioned. [RY]
