Meaning: To sharpen, grind CD. To sharpen a knife, to sharpen, to rub DK. To rub against (a stone &c.) in order to sharpen (a knife &c.) DS. 1. To sharpen (a knife &c.). 2. To judge, investigate TC.
Note:(Beyer 1992: 75) sees rdar (<bdar) as a 'weakend' form of bdar, and consequently sees bdar as the older form.
