Talk:Trinley Shingta
Format for lineage holders' names?
Something I noticed with regards to material concerning the Dakpo Kagyu lineage was that pages in Karmapa have been named as, for example: 1st_Karmapa. (At variance with that, on the Karmapa page, we find 12th Tai Situ Rinpoche, pointing to Tai_Situ_Rinpoche. p.s. Third_Karmapa redirects to 3rd_Karmapa, which is neat. But Rangjung_Dorje also points to Jigme_Lingpa as disambiguation, which page only refers to Ranjung_Dorje. And search for Karma Trinlepa fails, though by using history I looked under "Students" on 7th_Karmapa and there found Karma_Trinley_Rinpoche_I ... which includes a link to Karma_Trinley_Rinpoche, where we find a list of 4. My point [no diss intended!] is this: imprecision obscures simple typos; confidence is an aspect of cognition. --KC:)
Here on this page we have Trinley_Shingta; in keeping with the above I'd expect to have (also?) 7th Gyalwang Drukpa Rinpoche. To my mind 7th Gyalwang Drukpa Rinpoche has another purpose and another result.
What concerns me is this: that wiki function fails to give a page for 7th Gyalwang Drukpa just as it now fails on Karmapa Khakyap Dorje.
What occurs to me after applying OR is: the form 7th Gyalwang Drukpa and 12th Tai Situ provides a minimal resolution that is secure. --KC: 04:43, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
