གྲྭ་ལོག
fallen monk, monk who has broken 1 of his main vows [usually celibacy] [IW]

apostate monk [JV]

fallen monk, monk who has broken one of his main vows. [usually that of celibacy] [RY]

1) ex-monk, a former monk who has left the monastic life and returned to the laity; 3) a monk who has been expelled from their monastic institution. This sometimes has the implication of breaking one of the major precepts (usually that of celibacy), and can sometimes also apply to nuns, despite the fact that grwa pa is the male form.
