2. Alpinia galanga (L.) Willd. (Zingiberaceae), Greater galangal, Blue ginger (Molvray 1988 H,P). Cited from northern sources in Molvray, certainly a substitute used by mongol or buryat practioners. See also sman sga for other Alpinia spp and ginger.
