Crossbreed between yak and domestic cow, Bos grunniens ♂ x Bos taurus ♀ (according to 'Jam-dpal) or bull and 'bri, Bos taurus ♂ x Bos grunniens ♀ (according to dGa' ba'i rDo rje 1995). Resulting mdzo-bulls are sterile, resulting mdzo cows are fertile.
