nags sbal or nags rtsangs is the bigger of the two types of rtsangs pa. dGa' ba'i rDo rje (1995) as well as 'Jam-dpal describe two types of rtsang pa, a bigger nags rtsang, called nags sbal, similar to a gangs sbal, and a smaller klung rtsang. dGa' ba'i rDo rje identifies nags rtsangs under the name nags sbal with the Tokay gecko, and identifies in a separate notice under the simple name rtsangs pa, the klu rtsangs with the Himalayan Agama. 'Jam-dpal describes both under the heading rtsangs pa.
