Natural salt medicine. Salammoniac (Ammoniumchloride NH4Cl) is rarely naturally occuring, but ammoniumchlorid is found at burning coal dumps and is produced since early times. (wikipedia).
The indian name navasāra refers to salammoniac, ammoniom chloride. It is a kṣāra, an alkali. (wisdomlib.org).
