Natural medicinal salt. nag mtshur and ser mtshur are treated in one single notice in the Shel phreng. Black fibroferrite or Black vitriol (Drungtso 1999) may be a mixture : "Many websites state "black vitriol is a mixture of iron sulfate and iron sulfite", but none gives a reference of any sort (wikipedia). Fibroferrite (Fe3+ (SO4) (OH)·5H2O) is of yellow, yellowish-green to green-grey color (mindat.org). Vitriol itself is an ancient and now obsolete name for several hydrated metal sulfates, mostly iron or copper (wikipedia). mtshur sngon is a synonym for big pan, Chalcanthite, a blue copper sulfate which is also called Blue vitriol.
