1. Aster albescens (DC.) Wall. ex Hand.-Mazz. (Asteraceae) Aster (Dawa 2009). Reported name yu gu shing nag po (rigs dang po). The textual description is not available, but this herb is identified and used as yu gu shing by Lhasa men-Tsee-Khang (Dawa 2009)

3. Sambucus wightiana Wall. ex Wight & Arn. (Viburnaceae) Elder (Dawa 2009). Reported name yu gu shing nag po (rigs gnyis pa)
4. Sambucus adnata Wall. ex DC (Viburnaceae) Elder (Wangchuk 2016)
yu gu shing has 2 types, white and black, the latter with blue, aster-like flowers. Most authors propose Senecio-type Asteraceae for the white type, and an Aster-type for the black one.
