The Shel gong shel phreng distinguishes 5 types : lha glang has a long, whitish-pink flower with an eye-like spot on the beak. 'dre glang has dark red flowers and a broad short beak. pho glang is a small plant with large, thin petals and a broad short beak. mo glang is a tall plant with thin stalk, small petals and a short, narrow beak. ma ning glang sna has a tall thin stalk and a very long beak (Kletter 2001).
lug ru are louseworts with 'sheep horn' flowers, me tog glang sna are louseworts with 'Elephant trunc' flowers.
