In the [[Lower Abhidharma]] it is taught that [[yid]], [[sems]] and [[rnam shes]] are merely synonyms for the same meaning. The [[Higher Abhidharma]] teaches that [[sems]] is the [[all-ground consciousness]], [[yid]] is the [[disturbed mind consciousness]] and [[rnam shes]] is the [[six collections]] ([[tshogs drug]]).  [RY]
