| Since meeting [[Lama Yeshe Rinpoche|Lama Yeshe]] and [[Lama Zopa Rinpoche|Lama Zopa]] in Nashville, Indiana in 1974, I have had the good fortune to study with teaachers across all schools of Tibetan Buddhism as well as with teachers from Shaiva traditions. A scientist by training I have never focused on sectarian differences or disputes but have tried to identify and focus on the key principles underlying each tradition.
