Eight disciples (rje 'bangs brgyad). The eight chief recipients in Tibet of the Eight Sadhana Teachings transmitted by Guru Rinpoche:

1. King Trisong Deutsen,
2. Namkhai Nyingpo,
3. Sangye Yeshe,
4. Gyalwa Cho-yang,
5. Yeshe Tsogyal,
6. Palgyi Yeshe,
7. Palgyi Senge, and
8. Vairotsana.
