? ahṛsvara¦, m. or nt., or adj., (making) a piteous sound, lament(ing); in Mv iii.43.3, 6; 45.17 the mss. almost unanimously read ahṛsvaraṃ (or °rā; once one ms. ahīś- varā) krandamānā(ḥ), crying piteously, of hell-inhabitants.
