Short bio of teacher
Khenpo Tashi Wangdue; Khenpo Tashi is the resident lama of Palpung Phende Kunkhab meditation centre in Vancouver, BC Canada.
Born in Nepal, he grew up at Palpung Sherab Ling, where he helped to build the original buildings. Khenpo Tashi studied for 12 years at Nalanda Institute at Rumtek monastery in Sikkim and received his degree in Buddhist studies, the highest level of attainment in the study of the dharma. After many years of study and practice, he completed the three-year retreat under Bokar Rinpoche at Mirik. He was personal attendant to Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche for several years until Rinpoche’s untimely death. He speaks quite good English, which he hopes to improve in Vancouver.
