Eight Sections of the Magical Net (sgyu 'phrul sde brgyad):

  1. The Essence of Secrets (gsang ba'i snying po), Guhyagarbha Tantra,
  2. the Forty Magical Nets, Fortyfold Magical Net (sgyu 'phrul bzhi bcu pa),
  3. the Unsurpassable Magical Net (sgyu 'phrul bla ma),
  4. the Leulag Magical Net (sgyu 'phrul gyi le lag),
  5. the Eightfold Magical Net (sgyu 'phrul brgyad pa),
  6. the Magical Net of the Goddess (lha mo sgyu 'phrul),
  7. the Eighty Magical Nets, Eightyfold Magical Net (sgyu phrul brgyad bcu pa),
  8. and the Magical Net of Manjushri.

In his Essence of Accomplishment (p. 6A:4), Mipham Rinpoche explains that the view in the Eight Sections of the Magical Net belong to Ati Yoga while the conduct they teach belong to Maha Yoga. For that reason they are sometimes said to be classified in between as Anu Yoga tantras. In any case, they reveal the key points of the development stage, the completion stage, and the Great Perfection and can therefore be classified under any of the three inner tantras. [RY]
