What about benzar, or benza in the vajrasattva mantra? I have seen badz ra gu ru for the vajraguru mantra. This looks like a transliteration, no? But i also think i saw some thing like sband zar, as wylie for benzar... I'm researching this for fr.wikipedia.org., but if i settle this detail i'll fix it here and on en.wikipedia.org. :badzra would be a tibetan transliteration of the sanscrit word vajra, taking into account that they don't actually have a "V" in tibetan. I don't know about sband zar... I'm not sure the wylie you've typed is correct.  If you're looking for how to transliterate it into French, the English was has both Benza, Bendzra, Vajra as acceptable - with some teachers having distinct preference. *Actually Vajralan, 'vajra' is the Sanskrit.  The other offshoots are phonetic renderings...i.e., the way 'vajra' (Tib. - rdo rje, pron. 'doh-jey') is pronounced in western tongue.  For instance, if you said 'benza' to a Tibetan or native from India, they'd understand 'vajra', the same as if you said 'doh-jey', indicating to a Tibetan their native approach. --Richard 10:54, 24 July 2007 (EDT)RWB
