lcum rtsa, chu rtsa and chu ma rtsi are 3 subsequent entries in that order in the Shel gong and are generally identified with rhubarb species, Rheum spp. It is certainly the case for lcum rtsa (the first 2 of it's 3 types) and chu rtsa, but the illustrations of the black and white chu ma rtsi in the Medical Thangkas and in 'Jam-dpal don't resemble a rhubarb species. They may well depict 2 Polygonaceae, rather affiliated with the third type of lcum rtsa, chu lcum, described as being similar to knotweeds.
