Short description

Founded and directed by the venerable Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche, the Dharmachakra Translation Committee is housed at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery in Boudhanath, Nepal. The Committee consists of a broad group of translators, editors, and graphic artists committed to the task of translating the Buddhist classics into English and other languages.

Active Projects

The Dharmachakra Translation Committee is presently translating the so-called Thirteen Great Scriptures of the Nyingma School together with their commentaries by Ju Mipham and Khenpo Shenga.

The first of these volumes, Distinguishing the Middle from Extremes, will appear from Snow Lion Publications in 2006. Gradually, the remaining volumes will be made available over the coming years. In addition to this project, the Dharmachakra Translation Committee is preparing translations of Ju Mipham's commentary to The Ornament of the Middle Way into German and French.
