1) long life ritual or ceremony, ceremonies for long life or longevity; 2) rituals or recitations performed by clergy (usually monastics or lamas) for the removal of obstacles, sickness, evil spirits and factors adverse to longevity; 3) a long life or longevity prayer for a particular lama or Dharma teacher.
