-tiraka¦ (= Skt. tilaka), speck, spot: lipiphalakam ādāya divyārṣa-suvarṇa-tirakaṃ LV 125.17--18 (prose), so Lefm.; the mss. vary, and none has exactly divyārṣa-, but all but one have -tirakaṃ (that one -tilakaṃ); taking a writing-board with…golden (decorative) spots (Foucaux paillettes, spangles).
