Very rare in elemental form because of the instability of iron under oxidizing conditions and the abundance of oxygen in the Earth's crust and atmosphere. Wrought iron is an iron alloy with a very low carbon content (less than 0.08%) and with fibrous slag inclusions in contrast to that of cast iron (2.1% to 4%). This is beneficial for blacksmithing operations and also protect the iron from corrosion and diminish the effect of fatigue caused by shock and vibration (wikipedia).
The indian name lauha denotes metals, in particular iron. Kānta Lauha - cast iron. (wisdomlib.org)
