1. Terminalia chebula Retz. (Combretaceae), Black or Chebulic Myrobalan (Wangyal 2020)

The different types of a ru ra described are likely borne on the same tree and classified according to the stage of maturity. Generally there 2 types, the ordinary, single black type and a group of yellow type with 8, 7 or 5 forms (Dawa 2009). As foremost medicinal plant, the a ru ra opens together with the other 2 Myrobalans the plant section in the Shel gong (a ru ra, ba ru ra, skyu ru ra). The notice includes some 15 pages of general discussion about tastes, powers, qualities etc, before the actual description.
