Wisdom (ye shes) is the primordial knowing. This is an original wakefulness which is not dependent upon any object. We get used to primordial knowing by recognizing our essence as primordial purity.

Wisdom is primordially free from distraction. The undistracted aspect is wakefulness, which is unmistaken. If one is confused, this wakefulness is gone.
