cedar used medicinally [JV]
Himalayan cedar, deodar/devdar/devadar/devadaru cedar, red cedar, blood cedar, plains cedar, "plains-blood cedar". Its scientific name is Cedrus deodara, a combined Latin/Sanskrit etymology which comes from colloquial Hindustani देओदार de'o-dār, from Medieval Hindi देवदारु dev-dāru, from Sanskrit देवदारु deva-dāru, 'divine tree' (Latin cedrus meaning 'cedar').
