ghuṇaghuṇāyate¦ (cf. Deśīn. 2.110 ghuṇaghuṇiā = karṇopakarṇikā; JM. ghuṇāhuṇī = Gerücht, Jacobi, Erz.), buzzes (of a bee): pres. p. °yamānaṃ (printed °ṇaṃ) Kv 46.21. The Skt. ghuṇa, a wood-boring insect, seems prob- ably not connected with this obviously onomatopoetic word.
