-sphoṭakam¦, adv. (cf. sphoṭā, °ṭika, and Skt. sphoṭa): na jihvā-°kam (sc. paribhokṣyāmaḥ) Mvy 8586 (a śaikṣa rule), (we will) not (eat) making a smacking noise with the tongue.
