rākṣasī-dvīpa¦, m., island of ogresses, referring to the story associated in Divy and Kv with Siṃhala(-rāja); there it seems to be identified with Ceylon (cf. Tāmra- dvīpa): SP 439.5, 6; Mv iii.68.9 ff.; 287.2.
