śaṅkalā¦ (see s.v. saṃkala, °lā), chain, as n. of a mudrā: Mmk 356.22; 370.2; instead of saṅkalā, (causal) chain, normal in Laṅk, śaṅkalāyāḥ Laṅk 203.7. See also asthi-śaṅkalā, where the question of relationship between the two is discussed.
