(med) Cormorant, Phalacrocorax carbo (Czaja). Aquatic bird (Phrin Las 1987). so bya'i rus pa / sha khu / gre ba, Aquatic bird bone, flesh soup and trachea. so bya'i sgro, Feather from small bird (!) (Phrin Las 1987).
so bya usually denotes the Cormorant, but the thangka image in Phrin Las is the Common Merganser, Mergus merganser. so bya, 'tooth bird', the beak has the form of a toothlike saw (comm. tibetbirds). Johannes Schmidt (talk) 20:52, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
