Sakya [paṇḍita] Kunga Gyaltsen (1182-1251). One of the five supreme masters and the sixth patriarch of the Sakya hierarchy of Tibetan buddhism; famous for his mastery of the ten sciences (see {rig gnas bcu}) and for creating the early Mongolian script. His works such as the Elegant Sayings ({sa skya legs bshad}), Distinction Between the Three Vows (sdom-gsum rab-dbye) and Entering Into the Gate of the Wise One's ({mkhas pa la 'jug pa'i sgo}) are some of the renowned works.
