| Wylie | ma jo |
| Wylie Definition | translated as 'nun' in BA 181, etc. It might be a shortened formed of a ma jo mo?? It could possibly mean 'abbess' (see Zhang G.yu-brag-pa's autobiography), or a nun who teaches other nuns. In the Zhi-byed Coll. it seems to be a title for females that corresponds to bla ma for males. |
