Four Primary Hidden Points of Divination (gab rtse bzhi)

  • The following four necessary aspects form the basis upon which all divination techniques are actually implemented: 1) the discrete elements which are determined according to their external, internal, and secret classifications; 2) the sense-objects which convey these elements to the senses; 3) the intellect which analyses the mutual relationships between the elements and sense objects; and 4) the mind which grasps the negative and positive attributes of such relationships.
