The eight auspicious substances (bkra shis rdzas brgyad) - Included in this list are:

  1. mirror or looking glass. - ༺མེ་ལོང།༻ - me long.
  2. curds - ༺ཞོ།༻ - zho.
  3. panicum dactylon grass - ༺རྩྭ་དུར་བ།༻ - rtsva dur ba.
  4. wood-apply fruit - ༺ཤིང་ཏོག་བིལ་བ།༻ - shing tog bil ba.
  5. right-coiling conch shell - ༺དུང་གཡས་འཁྱིལ།༻ - dung g.yas 'khyil.
  6. bezoars, [elephant bile] - ༺གྷི་ཝང།༻ - ghi wang.
  7. vermilion powder - ༺ལི་ཁྲི།༻ - li khri.
  8. white mustard seeds - ༺ཡུངས་ཀར།༻ - yungs kar. [RY]
