Divinatory Mat (gdan)

• The mat on which the divinatory pebbles are deployed should preferrably be made of clean felt. In the case of natal horoscope and divinations which concern the living rather than the dead the mat should be white in colour, whereas in the case of divinations concerning specific matters of death it should be black, or else made of black sackcloth.
