1) 'spirit harm', that is, harm from evil spirits or malevolent forces; 2) untimely death; 3) accidents, misfortunes. Primarily an astrological term, it primarily implies either the harm caused by certain negative spirit beings, as well as those beings themselves. Also spelled ye 'brog and ye grogs. The original spelling is probably ye 'brog, the etymology of which alludes to 'primal' (ye) forces of the wild untamed land ('brog, as in 'brog pa, 'nomad'). [Erick Tsiknopoulos]
