clapping, hand clapping, clapping of the hands (as in averting rituals or bzlog pa). Short for thal mo rdeb pa ("palm striking/beating" or "striking/beating the palms [together]"). Note that this refers to the action of clapping the hands itself, rather than the sound of clapping, which is thal mo'i rdeb sgra. [Erick Tsiknopoulos]
