yāvad-eva¦, adv. (= Pali id., PTSD s.v. yāva), merely, just simply: LV 58.10 (the king gave all sorts of gifts) yāvad eva bodhisattvasya pūjākarmaṇe, just simply to do honor to the Bodhisattva; in Śikṣ repeatedly after anyatra (1, q.v.) following a negative expression: 127.18 na raktaḥ paribhuṅkte…anyatra yāvad eva kāyasya sthitaye, he does not eat greedily…on the con- trary, merely to keep the body alive (cf. Pali yāvad-eva imassa kāyassa ṭhitiyā MN i.10.10 etc.); 252.9 anyatra yāvad eva sa puruṣo…syāt, on the contrary, this man would simply be…; 254.6, 19.
