(med) Pyrolysite, MnO2. smug po chig thub. Pyrolusite, Purple. dkar po chig thub tu kha gcig bzhed. Pyrolusite, White (see : Anhydrite) (Phrin Las 1987). Black or very dark grey mineral. A common Mn mineral, pyrolusite forms under oxidizing conditions and high pH. Mainly a mineral of lacustrine, shallow marine, and bog deposits. Both colloidal processes and bacterial action are important in its formation (mindat.org).
(med) Anhydrid, Calciumsulfate, CaSO4. Synonyms : dkar po chig thub, rdo chig thub, dkar po mdung rtse (Yeshi 2018). 'Anhydrid' in allusion to the lack of water in its composition, in contrast to gypsum, which contains water (mindat.org). Johannes Schmidt (talk) 14:06, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
