1. Lethariella cladonioides (Nyl.) Krog (Parmeliaceae) Hong xue cha, 'Red snow tea' (Wangyal 2020). Reported name spang tshan gser skud.

dngul skud
1. Thamnolia vermicularis (Sw.) Ach. ex Schaer (Icmadophilaceae ) White worm lichen (Dawa 2009). Reported name gangs ga sha ru, dngul skud mchog.
2. Parmelia saxatilis Ach. (Parmeliaceae) Salted shield lichen, Crottle ('Phrin Las 1987)
3. Saussurea graminifolia Wall. ex DC. (Asteraceae) (Dawa 2009). Reported name dga' ldan spu ja dngul skud dman pa. In the Lhasa sman rtis khang one identifies this plant with dga' ldan spu ja dngul skud dman pa, others consider it as a type of rtsa mkhris ba mo kha (Lactuca lessertiana) (Dawa 2009).

In the Himalayas and SW China Yang & al. (2021) found 142 lichen species used as medicine and 42 species used as food, used with considerable overlap. Some are used in incense, for perfumes and other local uses. They concluded that due to low productivity and over-harvesting certain genera have reached already an endangered state.
