(med) Sandpiper (David Holler)
Synonyms : 'jam sgra ldan ('Jam-dpal) thing ril (David Holler)

Illustrations : 'Jam-dpal (pdf p 285) mthing ril

'Jam-dpal gives the orthograph mthing ril, for which David Holler (Tibet.birds.com) gives the Ibisbill (Ibidorhyncha struthersii), which occurs on the high plateau of Central Asia and the Himalaya. But his distinctive features are not illustrated in the Eye Ornament. He gives sandpipers with the orthograph thing ril, which are closer to the image.
