The teachings brought to Tibet and translated mainly during the reign of King [[Trisong Deutsen]] and in the subsequent period up to [[Rinchen Sangpo]] in the ninth century chiefly by the great masters [[Padmasambhava]], [[Vimalamitra]], [[Shantarakshita]], and [[Vairochana]]. The two subsequent main types of [[transmission]] are [[Kama]] and [[Terma]]. Practices are based on both the [[Three Outer Tantras]] and [[Three Inner Tantras]] with emphasis on the practice of the [[Inner Tantras]] of [[Mahayoga]], [[Anu Yoga]] and [[Ati Yoga]] [RY]
