Short Biography[edit]

Tulku Takhyung Rolpe Dorje was born in Kham, Tibet to a nomadic family. As a young child, he was recognized as the reincarnation of the famed Terton Horla Zhenphen, who is said to be an embodiment of Yeshe Tsogyal and her spiritual companion Arya Sale. As Tulku Takhyung was prophesied to be a regent of Padmasambhava, he was ordained with vows in the Secret Mantrayana tradition (“ngakpa” vows). Tulku Takhyung received guidance and training in Tantric Yoga in the Nyingma tradition and the Longchen Nyingthik from Terton Kunzang Nyima and other great realized male and female masters, including instruction in scripture and ritual practice. Because of his profound mastery, skill and realization of the this tradition, he achieved natural skill as a healer and he is recognized as an incomparable master of the tantric yogic tradition throughout modern Tibet.
