ātapa¦, m. or nt., in ṣaṣṭeḥ kārṣāpaṇānām arthāyātape dhāritaḥ Divy 33.13, and ātape vidhāritaḥ 16, apparently was assessed a fine (in the amount of 60 kārṣāpaṇas). Per- haps corrupt; I find it hard to understand connexion with ātapa heat (kept on a hot spot ?). The Index omits the word.
