Selaka¦, n. of a (legendary ?) knight to whom King Śreṇiya compares the Bodhisattva: udagro tvam asi rājñaḥ aśvāroho va °ko Mv ii.199.11 (vs); the Pali parallel passage, Sn 420--421, lacks any such words; AMg. knows a pious king Selaa, Selaga, assumed to represent Skt. *Śai- laka (Ratnach.), but it seems doubtful whether he is the same person.
