arhati¦, ought, is normally construed with inf. as in Skt. In Mv ii.491.11--12, by a curious blend construction, it is followed by an opt.: arhasi putrī (mss.)…bhar- tāraṃ…upasthihesi (2 sg. opt. § 29.21), you, daughter, ought--you should serve your husband, etc.
