pusta-¦, acc. to Tib. letter (of the alphabet); perh. more generally (painted) figure (for decoration; in Skt. said to mean modelled figure): LV 95.12 (prose) tāni (elephants, perh. also other animals born at the same time with the Bodhisattva) sarvāṇi rājñā Śuddhodanena pusta-varopetāni (Tib. sna graṅs yi ger bris te, which Foucaux 97 renders marqués d'un grand nombre de peintures diverses) kumārasya krīḍārthaṃ dattāny abhūvan; Fou- caux renders the Skt. marqués (à la trompe) de belles lettres peintes. (In Skt. manuscript, book, = the more usual pustaka.)
