utsīdana¦ (nt., quasi-MIndic formation from utsīdati plus ana; unrecorded; = utsadana 1 and 2; cf. saṃsī- dana), (1) destruction (of a ship, on land, sthale, i.e. by running aground in shipwreck): Divy 229.23 sthala utsī- danabhayaṃ; (2) °na-dharma = (2) utsadana-dharmaka, of the nature of superfluity: MPS 7.2.
