Entry 13996, Page 493, Col. 2
(vibadDa, vi-badDa)
? vi-baddha¦, adj. (app. vi plus baddha; cf. next two), dis-connected, and so showing gaps (in the framework of a roof, and in the Bodhisattva's ribs): sayyathāpi nāma ubhayato pārśve vibaddhāyāṃ (so 1 ms., v.l. vivṛddhā- yāṃ, Senart em. vivṛtāyāṃ) vāhanāgāraśālāyāṃ gopāna- sīye antarāṇi vivaṭāni vītiloketsuḥ vītikāsetsuḥ, evam eva pāṃśulikāni (q.v.) pāṃśulikāntarāṇi vibaddhāni (kept [Page494-a+ 71] with mss. by Senart) vītiloketsuḥ vītikāsetsuḥ Mv ii.125.13-- 15. If vibaddha is kept in the last part of the sentence, it should be kept in the first. It is true that in repetitions of the phrase (listed s.v. pāṃśulika) the mss. support vivaṭa, not vibaddha. Uncertain; but the next items give some support to vibaddha.
